Social life in Kortedala is bustling and vibrant. Bars and clubs attract large crowds every weekend from Kortedala itself as well as from surrounding cities. Kortedala is really the place to be! Some of the most famous venues include:
Näsan"Näsan" is a large club featuring live music from leading bands. Its adjacent bar has a large selection of imported Belgian beers and Scotch whiskies. It is also famous for its "Snus-salong", a popular gathering place for intellectuals, who discuss arts, politics and metaphysics while enjoying Sweden's famous Snus tobacco.

Döda Katten"Döda Katten" caters for the more alternative crowd. It is a dark gothic club located in a basement, and is particularly popular with Kortedala's large population of vampire role players. This place got notorious through the bizarre antics of the owner, Claes Nyquist, who used to throw dead cats into the crowd at midnight. (This practice is now discontinued however after complaints from the city's health department). |
